CUET 2022: Notification Released

CUET notification released

The National Testing Agency, NTA, has issued an announcement regarding the Central Universities Entrance Test, or CUET 2022. According to the announcement, candidates can register for the CUET 2022 beginning April 2, 2022. The announcement was made on the official NTA website, nta.ac.in.

According to the official notice provided by NTA, “Online Application Forms for Undergraduate Programmes will open on 02.04.2022, and a link to the same will be made available on the official website.”

Exam Pattern for CUET UG 2022

Candidates taking the CUET 2022 Exams will be expected to complete three sections. These are the sections:

Languages are covered in Section 1. (A and B)

Section 2 – Domain-Related Questions

Section 3 – General Examination

Each section’s questions will be Objective-Based Multiple-Choice Questions or MCQs.

Syllabus for CUET UG 2022

Section 1 Languages will be separated into two subsections – Sections 1A and 1B. The language will be assessed in this area through Reading Comprehension (Factual, Literary, and Narrative), Literary Aptitude, and Vocabulary.

Candidates will be asked domain-specific questions in Section 2. The domain refers to the field in which the candidate is seeking admission, and the questions will be based on the subjects that the candidate registers for during CUET UG 2022. The questions in this area will exclusively cover the NCERT Class XII syllabus.

Candidates will be asked to select the languages and domain subjects from the list below in Sections 1 and 2.

However, according to the notification, candidates are not required to select selections from each Section. The options should correspond to the requirements of the targeted university.

Structure of the CUET UG 2022 Exam

Candidates will be allotted 45 minutes for each language in Section 1 and must attempt 40 questions out of 50 for each language chosen.

Section 2 will allow 45 minutes for each domain subject. Candidates must attempt 40 out of 50 questions. Exam 3 requires candidates to attempt 60 questions out of 75 in the 60 minutes allotted for this section.
