The company is constantly monitoring situations for each state and is re-arranging its stocks accordingly. Hitherto, India has lagged behind countries like Vietnam, Cambodia, Myanmar, Bangladesh, and Thailand in attracting these companies to set up plants in India.

This article will reveal the reasons behind this growing interest of smartphone companies to shift their plants and What it means for the Indian Smartphone market.

Why the Companies are interested in shifting their plants to India

The Indian government had announced a production-linked incentive scheme (PLI) for large-scale electronics manufacturing to boost domestic manufacturing and attract hefty investments in mobile phone manufacturing and specified electronic components. The PLI scheme extends an incentive of 4 percent to 6 percent on incremental sales (over the base year) of goods manufactured in India and covered under target segments, to eligible companies, for five years after the base year as defined. The efforts by the government to propose firms appear to be fruitful as 24 companies plan to set up mobile phone factories in India.

This Initiative means that the Indian smartphone market will skyrocket its sales. People could buy efficient 5000 mAh battery mobile phones from reputable brands like Realme and Samsung. Realme C11 is a powerhouse with a plethora of features among the 5000 mAh battery mobile phones.

In accordance with the recent reports, Realme has plans to expand manufacturing in India. Its supplier Oppo is also planning to invest up to $1 billion in India. There is reportedly a strong request from Apple to its clients to move part of the iPhone production out of China.

The companies are planning to diversify supply chains amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. The PLI could expectedly lead to the production of $153 billion of manufactured goods.

Realme is targeting tier 3 and 4 cities to expand its presence. They are strengthening the micro-distribution capability for the distribution of Realme latest phone models in the Indian markets. They are following the local situations and are making sure people in need always get adequate service.
